New York City Police Museum - New York City - Museums

Located in the first precinct station house, built in 1901, the museum exhibits police equipment from throughout the years such as pistols, uniforms, and vehicles along with really fun stuff like master burglar Willie Sutton's lock picks and a machine gun used by Al Capone. At press time, a permanent exhibit chronicling the role the NYPD played in the response to the September 11 terrorist attacks was under construction.
