Rosebud - Paris Nightlife

The popularity of this place known for a bemused and indulgent attitude toward anyone looking for a drink and some talk hasn't diminished since the 1950s. The name refers to the beloved sled of Orson Welles's Citizen Kane. Around the corner from Montparnasse's famous cafes and thick in associations with Sartre and de Beauvoir, Ionesco, and Duras, Rosebud draws a crowd ages 35 to 65, though the staff has recently noticed the appearance of students. Drop in at night for a glass of wine, a shot of whisky, or a hamburger or chili con carne. Open daily 7pm to 2am.
